<p>Page créée avec « (Villafranca de los Barros, Badajoz 1648 – La Plata, aujourd&#039;hui Sucre, Bolivie, 1712) Compositeur péruvien d&#039;origine espagnole, il arrive très jeune à Lima, étudie à… »</p> <p><b>Nouvelle page</b></p><div>(Villafranca de los Barros, Badajoz 1648 – La Plata, aujourd&#039;hui Sucre, Bolivie, 1712)<br /> <br /> Compositeur péruvien d&#039;origine espagnole, il arrive très jeune à Lima, étudie à l&#039;université de San Marcos et semble avoir été l&#039;élève de [[Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco]], voyage à Panamá où il devient &#039;&#039;maestro di capilla&#039;&#039; de la cathédrale, est ordonné prêtre en 1672, est nommé &#039;&#039;maestro di capilla&#039;&#039; de la cathédrale de Lima (succède à Fray Pedro Jiménez) puis, en 1676, sans doute de la cathédrale de Cuzco et, en 1680, de La Plata (succède à Miguel de Bobadilla et à Estacio de la Serna) où il reste jusqu&#039;à sa mort. <br /> <br /> On conserve encore de lui environ 200 manuscrits de polyphonies sacrées et profanes avec 3 Lamentations ([[Abréviations|BO-Sc]]) dont notamment un &#039;&#039;Incipit Lamentatio&#039;&#039; à 10 vx et un &#039;&#039;Vau. Et egressus est&#039;&#039; à 4 vx. <br /> Bernardo Illari signale que le compositeur était libre de choisir la grandeur de l&#039;œuvre, d&#039;où ce magnifique monument sonore à 3 ch. et 10 vx, et d&#039;écrire de longues sections à la trame musicale complexe.
